Use Episodes to record the occurrence of an event and its duration; this allows for the filtering of data on a chart to show only values that occur within the duration of the episode or to overlay an indication of the event and its duration so that any effect on the data stream can easily be determined.
Episodes are configured in Episode Administration, and are viewed on the Episode Chart within the Digital Twin Explorer.
From the main Menu, click the Episode Administration link in the Administration column to access the feature; this screen allows for addition, modification, and deletion of episodes. You can also associate episodes with containers with Episode Administration.
To take advantage of episode functionality, we need to allocate one or more containers to the episode. When this is done, any points that exist below allocated containers will be assigned to the episode.
To the right of the episode list is a treeview navigator.
Allocate episodes to containers by selecting an episode then checking the box next to the desired container.
Access the allocation table by clicking the Allocation Table button. This view presents a list of containers currently allocated to the selected episode.
Click the TreeView Navigator button to return that mode.
