Question:
When analyzing a model in AutoPIPE Vessel the following warning number was reported.
822 HEAD (xxxx) UNDER INTERNAL PRESSURE: insufficient thickness.
Why and how to avoid it?
Answer:
After generating a complete output report, find at the end of the report a list of errors. This specific error should be hyperlinked to the corresponding section within the report.
Example:
If yes, select the hyperlink to be taken to the troubled spot in the report.
If no, then go to portion of the report related to the component mentioned.
Once in the correct section of the report, search for the trouble, usually shown in red colored text.
Scenario #1:

From the calculations, determine what parameters of the component would affect the results. In this example above the Elliptical head thickness would affect the calculation of Pck / 1.5.
Solution:
Modify the component until the calculation causing the error has been resolved.
Example:
Changing the Elliptical head tag 30.11, thickness from 0.1 to 0.15 resolved the error.
