Problem:
I have a container file where multiple DGN files are attached. I have attached that container file to a drawing file. Now, when I open that drawing file and try to access the levels (from Level Manager) that are coming from the nested attachments of the container file, I find them greyed out. How can I resolve this problem?
Solution:
Follow the steps mentioned below to resolve the issue.
1. Go to Configuration Variables at the backstage (File > Settings > Configuration > Configuration Variables). You can also use search bar to access it.
2. In the Configuration Variables dialog search for the variable MS_LEVEL_EDIT_NESTED_ATTACHMENT_LEVELS.
3. If it is undefined then click on the 'Edit' button and set its value to 1 and click 'OK'.
4. Close all instances of OpenBuildings Designer that are running on your system. Then start OBD again.
Now you should be able to access the levels (from Level Manager) which are coming from the nested attachments.
