The process of uploading images into the iTwin IoT Image View tool is quite simple. If you haven't already, navigate to the Image View tool. This article can help if needed:
Uploading an Image
1. Click on the Upload Image button on the right side of the window.
2. A pop-up window will appear. This window allows you to drag a file from your computer and drop it into the box to upload, or you can click the blue "Drag or upload a file" text to open a search window on your computer to find and select the file.
3. After a file has been selected for upload, the "Upload" button will turn blue indicating you can start the upload. Click the "Upload" button to start the upload. The image will take a few moments to upload.
Once finished uploading, the upload pop-up will close and the image will appear in the main viewer window.
Managing Image View Files
An Image View file will be named the imported file name by default. It is easy to change the image name within the Image View Tool. You can also delete the image from iTwin IoT within the tool. Hovering over an image name in the Image View toolbar on the right side of your screen reveals the "Edit Name" and "Delete" icons.
- Edit Name- Click the pencil icon to edit the image name. The text field will become editable, and clicking the checkbox will save your name change. Clicking the "X" box will throw the name change away.
- Delete Image- To delete the image from iTwin IoT, click the "trashcan" icon. A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm the deletion. Clicking the blue "Delete" button will delete the image from iTwin IoT.
Exiting Image View
To exit Image View and return to Map View and 3D visualization, you can click the large "X" in the upper right portion of the Image View window (highlighted in red below).
