The Main Menu is your primary access point to the core features of 4D Analytics. Click the arrow at the top to manage your workspace by expanding or contracting the panel. For Site Explorer, click the arrow twice to present the fully expanded panel.
- Site Explorer – Select an item in the Site Explorer panel to see your choice reflected in the Dashboard.
- Dashboards – Use the Dashboard to construct and curate a collection of widgets, alarms, charts, images, data entry elements, and other information displays like interactive maps or the current weather conditions at a specific location.
- Assets:
- Attribute Group – Attribute Group Administration enables groups to be added/removed, and for attributes to be assigned to these groups.
- Attribute Library – The Attribute Library page displays all current attributes; it is where new attributes can be created or existing attributes, re-named. The page also displays what group an attribute belongs to and how many times it has been assigned to points.
- Digital Twin Explorer – The Digital Twin Explorer is made up of the TreeView Navigator and the Selection Tool.
- File Manager – Use the File Manager to view files to which you have access, to upload files to the database, or to download files.
- Perspective Application – Use the Perspectives Application to apply perspectives to containers.
- Perspective Management – Use the Perspective Management page to choose which perspectives may be assigned to containers
- Template Library – Use the Template Library to curate a selection of attributes
- Alarms:
- Alarm Management – Click Alarm Management to access the Current Alarms page.
- Manage Alarm Contacts – Creating or editing contacts is an administrator task. If the Manage Alarm Contacts link is active, then the group that you belong to has permission to manage contacts.
- IIoT Ingestion – Each IIoT IS Import widget needs to know what java class (i.e., program) to run, in order to process the input file and store to Amulet.The choices of java classes available are provided by the IIoT Framework page.
- Reporting
- Activity Insights – Open the Activity Insights page to view performance data on ingestions services, calculators, users, the server environment, and the active database.

- Regression Analysis – Linear regression is a statistical technique where two related data points are analyzed to determine if there is a correlation between them.
- Report Config – Use the Report Configuration page to create new, or edit existing, reports via the Reports page, or widget drilldowns.
- Report Table Editor – Use the Report Table Editor to design tables for the Custom Table widget, to serve Dashboards or Reports.
- Reports – Use the Reports page to generate reports from existing dashboards that are visible from the front end.
- Configuration:
- PI Configuration – Use the PI Configuration page to create, edit, and delete mappings. This is done via 3 main controls on the page: a tree, a form, and a grid.
- Administration:
- Contracts Allocation – The Contracts Allocation screen allows energy contracts to be allocated to one or more assets (containers).
- Contracts Definition – The Contracts Definition screen allows new energy contracts to be create and configured.
- Dashboard Manager – Create, edit, delete dashboard via the Dashboard Manager.
- Data Entry Form Management – Use the Data Entry Form Management screen to enter data and timetag information for any point.
- Data Workpack Generation – Data workpack grids are templates that can be designed in the system to allow you to download a template to Excel, add data, and upload data back into the system from Excel for multiple points/attributes across multiple assets/locations. Data can also be entered into the grid, directly on the page.
- Enumeration Admin – Use the Enumeration Admin page to configure enumerations for use in Custom Tables and the Calculation Designer.
- Episode Administration – Use Episodes to record the occurrence of an event and its duration; this allows for the filtering of data on a chart to show only values that occur within the duration of the episode or to overlay an indication of the event and its duration so that any effect on the data stream can easily be determined.
- External Users – To manage external users, expand the Item drop-down and choose the External Users option, but be aware that you must belong to a super user group with access to Administration features.

- Message Board Admin – Use the Message Board Administration page to create, edit, and delete messages on the Message Board widget. Messages can be added against individual sites or across the whole organisation so users can be informed of any important news or procedures that relates to them.
- Phrase Admin – Use the Phrase Administration page to translate phrases within the system into multiple languages. The system is able to change the display text according to the language you configured in your User Administration/My Configuration Page.
- Version Manager – Review this page for information about the web version, application version, Calculator version, and other configuration details. It is important to note that this page is protected so that only super users can access this information.
- Widget Groups – There are a number of widgets available, each with different functionality. You can group these widgets together for easy dashboard configuration. The groups can then be seen in the Add menu from Dashboard Configuration - Alarms, Charts, Data Entry, etc.
- System Configuration – Use the System Configuration page to organisation, group and username. The tree offers access to your organisation (all organisations only if you are a superuser), groups, and users administration pages.
