Export to LumenRT: The Bentley MicroStation LumenRT Export Plugin works with all Bentley MicroStation based products including AECOsim.
With a 3D camera-enabled view displayed, go to the LumenRT task menu and click the Export to LumenRT button. This will initiate an immediate export of everything visible in the scene including model elements, LumenRT proxy content and lights.
Select the LumenRT tool (Visualization > Home> LumenRT
LumenRT content is stored as a cell library in MicroStation. Navigate to your MicroStation LumenRT content folder and load the LumenRT Content cell library named CellsForLumenRT. This is found in the path ProgramData\Bentley\connectsharedcontent\CellsForLumenRT
MicroStation Traffic Animations are automatically exported each time a model is exported to LumenRT. You must be using any version of MicroStation CONNECT to export traffic animation. MicroStation allows to create traffic within the application but MicroStation Traffic animations must use LumenRT vehicle proxies in order for the exported path to be visible in LumenRT. LumenRT vehicle proxies are found in the LumenRT cell library (CellsForLumenRT) located in your ProgramData\Bentley\connectsharedcontent\CellsForLumenRT.
To export VISSIM animation from MicroStation, click the LumenRT export with VISSIM button or click the Use VISSIM check box in the LumenRT settings menu (CONNECT). The export dialog shown below will appear. Enter the path to the VISSIM animation.ani.txt file and any path offset.
LumenRT exports the model along with the VISSIM traffic animation to a .lob file and opens the file in LumenRT.
Used to control settings to export a model to LumenRT.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Stroke Tolerance (Meters) | Controls the number of triangles that curved surfaces are broken into before being rendered. Smaller values produce smoother results but at the expense of render times. |
Use VISSIM | If on, exports the Vissim traffic simulation information to the LumenRT file. |
Vissim X Offset (Meters) | Allows you to set the Vissim X path offset. |
Vissim Y Offset (Meters) | Allows you to set the Vissim Y path offset. |
Vissim Z Offset (Meters) | Allows you to set the Vissim Z path offset. |
Exporting MicroStation Camera Paths
If an animated camera path is present in the MicroStation model, this will automatically be exported into LumenRT and appear on the LumenRT video clip timeline.
