What's New Highlights for 2024 (24.00.00.29)
- Installer Update
- Side-by-side Installation allows you to adopt OpenBuildings Speedikon 2024 without upgrading your current installation of OpenBuildings Speedikon 2023 or CONNECT Edition mid-project. If you already have a previous version of OpenBuildings Speedikon on your machine, OpenBuildings Speedikon 2024 will be installed as a separate application.
- Integrated MicroStation 2024
- Project Editor Space Boundary
- Changing the space boundary in the Project Editor is displayed correctly in the floor plan.
Suppose the boundary is changed in the Project Editor from "A" fully enclosed and covered to "R" fully enclosed or from "B" partly enclosed and covered to "S" not fully enclosed and applied to the Speedikon data model. In that case, these changes are now correctly displayed in the floor plan module.
- Improving document management with ODM integration
- The following functionalities now work without issues in ODMA mode:
- Unpack Project Standard document
- Open SMD document in OpenBuildings Speedikon
- Export SMD document to DGN document
- ProjectWise 2023 Support
- OpenBuildings Speedikon 2024 is compatible with ProjectWise 2023 and ProjectWise CONNECT Edition Update 3.4. The ProjectWise Version Support Matrix shows the compatibility of OpenBuildings Speedikon versions with ProjectWise Explorer Client versions and much more.
- Stability of the project standard in ProjectWise
- If the Speedikon project standard is stored in the ProjectWise data source, all project standard files now remain available even when switching between floor plans and sections of the project in ProjectWise.
- Security Improvements
- This release includes the latest Speedikon and MicroStation security improvements. The details will be found on our Trust Center website under Security > Common Vulnerability Exposure (CVE) Program.
- German DIN Dataset - Macro xlraumbu with English user interface
- When using the English user interface and the German DIN data set, the xlraumbu macro now correctly fills the Excel table with all values when performing a quantity take off, which was previously only the case when using the German user interface.
