Q. "Error 0x80070652" message appears on dialog or in Log file when uninstalling AutoPIPE, why?

Problem:

AutoPIPE abruptly stops installing and displayed and "0x80070652" message. Or, log file has the following:

Error 0x80070652: Failed to uninstall

Failed to install ME101 translator (1.00.00.11) with error code 0x80070652.

Another installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before

proceeding with the install.

Why and how to avoid it?

Solution:

The error 0x80070652 ("ERROR_INSTALL_ALREADY_RUNNING") is caused by one or more stuck msiexec.exe processes. The cause of the stalled process remains unclear; however, ending those processes is likely to rectify the problem. 

Use the following steps:

    1. Open Task Manager and click on the Details tab.
    2. Next search for every instance of the msiexec.exe process.
    3. For each instance of msiexec.exe process, right mouse clicks on the process and select End Process Tree from the list of options.
    4. Repeat steps above until all msiexec.exe processes have been removed. 
    5. Try to uninstall the application now.
    6. Reboot your computer.
