Problem:

What does Fluid density factor do AutoPIPE's Analysis Set?

Solution:

 Place your mouse cursor in the field and press F1 on the keyboard. After the help appears, scroll down the listing and select the hyperlink for "Fluid Density Factor"

You should have a clear understanding on how this setting will affect the analysis set.

For illustration, I ran two cases using fluid density factors of 1.0 and 2.0. As shown in the screenshots, the weight of the contents increases proportionally with the factor applied.

Question: Would that double the increase in fluid density for static loads? 

Answer:

No. it is a multiplier! With this setting, one can run multiple scenarios considering different weight of contents in the pipe without having to reconfigure all the pipe properties.
