How to launch AutoCAD in another language when opening files in using English ProjectWise Explorer
Background
Specific user is wanting to launch the AutoCAD with a French interface from an English version of ProjectWise
Steps to Accomplish
Step 1: Install the AutoCAD Language Pack
- Obtain the AutoCAD Language pack from AutoDesk for the application version being used. (AutoCAD 2002 in this instance)
- Install the Language pack (French in this instance)
- Open an Excel file and paste the data into the spreadsheet.
- Navigate to the short cut used to launch AutoCAD French and launch AutoCAD to verify correct GUI.
- Close AutoCAD
- Right mouse click on the short cut used to launch AutoCAD French and select Properties and copy the Targets Command Line options

Step 2: Adjust ProjectWise Explorer Program Association for AutoCAD
- Open ProjectWise Explorer and login to Datasource
- Open the Program Associations dialog (Tools > Associations > Programs)

- Select 'User Associations'. (To change the Association for specific user
- Expand the tree against 'AutoCAD to expose the 'Open' options.
- Double mouse click the 'Command Line Arguments' option
- Enter the Command Line Option found in Step 1 (Or Paste if copied to the clipboard, avoiding typos)
- Select OK
- Open AutoCAD file from ProjectWise to verify.
