Problem Description
When launching MicroStation a Padlock Icon is being displayed on the Windows Task Bar
Solution
The Padlock on the icon is typically used when MicroStation is being run in High Security mode.
Check:
- If using the delivered shortcut 'MicroStation (High Security)' as opposed to the standard 'MicroStation' shortcut or MicroStation.exe
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\MicroStation 2023\MicroStation 2023
- The custom Configurations is variable MS_SECURITY_LEVEL has been set to 'HIGH'
File > Settings > Configuration > Configuration Variables
- If using Custom shortcut that the Shortcut Target Properties if setting the variable using the command line switch-wsMS_SECURITY_LEVEL=HIGH
Right mouse button click on Shortcut and select 'Properties
- If using Custom shortcut that the Shortcut Properties selected Icon is the correct one
