Q. To Download the Contents of a Submittal


You can either download files one at a time, or download the entire package at once.

  1. Go to the Incoming tab.
  2. Open the submittal from the list.
  3. If needed, acknowledge the submittal. See To Acknowledge a Submittal .

    Any project participant can download a submittal's files, not just recipients of the submittal. These are the rules:

    • If the submittal does not require any acknowledgement, then any project participant (recipient or not) can download files in the submittal.
    • If you are a recipient of the submittal and you are required to acknowledge it, you must acknowledge it before you can download any files in it.
    • If you are the project administrator but not one of the submittal recipients and the submittal requires acknowledgement from one or more recipients, then you can download the submittal's files once the submittal has been acknowledged by at least one of the recipients who is required to acknowledge it.
    • If you are a project participant (non-admin) but not one of the submittal recipients and the submittal requires acknowledgement from one or more recipients, then you can download the submittal's files once the submittal has been acknowledged by all of the recipients who are required to acknowledge it.
  4. Use one of these methods to download the files in the submittal:

    Go to either the Documents or My response tab and click the link for the individual file you want to download. Clicking the file link automatically downloads a local copy of the file. If the file is a PDF, the PDF opens in a new window so that you can mark it up using the PDF Markup service.

    or

    Click Download content to download the entire package. A ZIP file containing all the documents in the package (including the cover letter) is downloaded to your computer or device. Extract the contents of the package using your preferred unzipping software.
