Introduction: The instructions and video below show how to copy/paste signs between sign files and standards in OpenRoads SignCAD.
Step 1: In OpenRoads SignCAD, open an existing file that has the sign(s) you want to copy/paste into another sign file.
Step 2: Create a new file or open an existing file to copy/paste the sign(s) into.
Step 3: Check the Panels>Panel Selection box. Pick the Element Selection tool and window select the sign(s) you want to copy/paste. Pick Panels>Copy.
Step 4: Make the file that you want to paste the sign(s) into active. Pick Panels>Paste.
Step 5: Press Yes to the paste dialog. This dialog alerts you to a mismatch between the standard of the paste file (U.S. 2009) and the active file (ex: Ohio Department of Transportation).
Step 6: Pick Fit View to see the pasted sign(s).
Step 7: Pick Properties to adjust the File Properties of the active file. Save the file.
