Problem:
There are several tools on ProStructures which are not found by default on the OpenBuildings Designer graphic user interface. How can I add those ProStructure tools on OBD GUI?
Solution:
While Please follow the steps mentioned below to add ProStructures Toolbox on OBD user interface.
Step-1: First, you need to Activate ProStructures on your OpneBuildings Designer. For that, use the key-in psmain license select.
Click on the key-in button, then input the key-in and then hit enter.
Step-2: This will trigger the window to activate ProStructures (see screen grab below). From there click on 'Activate ProStructures' button.
Step-3: Now, close all instances of OBD on your system. Then, go to the folder path C:\Program Files\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\OpenBuildingsDesigner\Default\Gui\Archive\en and then paste the file ProStructuresTaskMenu.dgnlib in that folder. The ProStructuresTaskMenu.dgnlib can be downloaded from the attachment section of this article.
When you'll paste it, a confirmation window will appear. Click 'Continue' there and it'll be pasted.
Step-4: Launch OpenBuildings Designer. Then right-click on the blank space just beside the tabs. Then go to Customize Ribbon.
Step-5: Choose Toolboxes (Custom). Then select ProStructures. Then on the right-hand side, select Structural Elements (which is located at Building Design > Structural > Structural Elements). Then click Add. After that click on Apply and then Close.
Step-6: Thus, the tools are added on OBD interface and can be accessed from Building Design > Structural > ProStructures.
