The following message is displayed when opening a file created in older version (in year 2008):

Not an XML file!
The internal structure of this data file is obsolete, use an older version.

Why and how to avoid?

Solution:

These files were created using a significantly older version, and the internal data structure has since undergone major changes.
The older files are in a legacy text-based format, rather than the XML format adopted in newer versions—a format that has not been supported since version 41.05.00.008.

To open these files, please follow the steps below:

1. 1. Install version 41.04.00.013 of the software.
  2. Open the model file using this version and save it.
  3. Reopen the newly saved file in the latest version. It should now open without any errors.
