Problem
Exception.log with I/O error sscloud.ma
MicroStation crashes throwing an exception. The exception.log mentions an I/O error with sscloud.ma as the cause. The MDL application sscloud.ma is on a shared location (network).
Solution
Move sscloud.ma to non-shared resource
The MDL application sscloud.ma consists of two files: sscloud.ma and sscloud.rsc. The *.rsc file can only be used by one user at any time.
The easiest solution therefore is to move the sscloud.ma and sscloud.rsc to a location where it is not shared (i.e. a location specific to the user). This may be the local disk or e dedicated location on a network.
Also change to configuration to point to this new location.
In MicroStation XM functionality to place clouds is native.
