Problem

Is there any way to add a solid fill to an existing complex shape?

I see that this is possible only with method "Points" in Hatching and Patterning but I want to use the method Flood.

Solution

To achieve this, use the Create Region tool and select the method Flood. You will also be able to set "Keep Original" and "Associative Region Boundary" if desired.
