Problem Description
When using the tool 'Capture Google Earth Image', after entering a data point in the view to capture, I cannot see any image, all that is in the file is what appears to be a mesh
Steps to Resolve
- Start Google Earth and navigate to the location desired
- Open MicroStation and create a file with a 3D Model
- Select the Capture Google Earth Image tool (Tools > Geographic > Capture Google Earth Image)
- Click in the View to place the captured image
- User the Fit View command/tool to see where the image is placed
- The image may look like a mesh as show in image 1 below (if the View is using Wireframe Display Style)
- Change the Display Style to Smooth for example (the image is black and white)
- To do this open View Attributes (Settings > View Attributes) and select Smooth for the Display Style field as shown in image 2
- The brightness of the view may need to be adjusted, this can be done using the 'Adjust View Brightness' control at the top of the View Window as shown in image 3
