The Video module within the Linear Analytics Services system gives maintenance and incident-response professionals direct access to video views of the rail corridor from the Linear Analytics Services Workbench.

Video from six or more cameras is synchronized with the Linear Analytics Services schematic, maps, GIS and other Linear Analytics Services-linked tools. The Video module supports:

• Close-up videos, showing track components condition
• Front-view videos, showing right-of-way layout
• Aerial videos for a birds-eye-view

The Linear Analytics Services Video module uses your native video resolution and frame rates to maximize image clarity or downsizes to maximize storage space and network bandwidth requirements. Video has a broad range of possible applications:

• Communicate issues between work crews and management
• Visually identify exception or work areas
• Locate emergency access points
• Determine corridor environment (tunnel, curve, cut/fill, track type, etc.)
• Review and resolve conflicting asset data

Using the Linear Analytics Services system's linear asset network model, video data ties to or correlates with the actual rail corridor location.
