Overview

A new version of OpenFlows Water 2024, which consists of WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, and HAMMER, has been released. 

Note: version 24.00.01.12 includes a newer CONNECTION Client, updated installation steps, plus all patches previously made for 24.00.01.05:

• Updated CONNECTION Client version that shows the product tier column in the Feature Level Selector.
• Updated installation steps to reflect that HAMMER is available with a license of OpenFlows Water Standard.
• Includes all fixes that were previously made available in 24.00.01.05 as a cumulative patch set

Simplification to OpenFlows Water, Storm, and Sewer Licensing

This release of the OpenFlows products includes a simplification of the licenses and feature levels. This will make product installation and activation simpler and easier to manage.

Installation file path update

The installation file path has been updated. This includes the location of sample and lesson files. For example, the default installation file path for OpenFlows Water is now C:\Program Files\Bentley\OpenFlows Water\. Components for all installed OpenFlows Water applications (WaterCAD, WaterGEMS and/or HAMMER) are installed to the same location. Within the Samples subfolder you will find subfolders for the individual products, like WaterGEMS.

Compatible Operating Systems and Platforms

Supported Operating Systems

• Windows 11
• Windows 10 (32-bit or 64-bit)
• Windows Server 2019 and 2022

Compatible Platforms

• Standalone (no CAD or GIS software required)
• MicroStation 2023, MicroStation CONNECT Edition Version 10 and higher
• AutoCAD 2024 and AutoCAD 2023. Note: AutoCAD 2025 support is anticipated to be available in the next release (Q2/Q3 2024 timeframe - subject to change)
• ArcMap 10.8.1 and earlier (WaterGEMS and HAMMER only), ArcGIS Pro 3.1 and higher (WaterGEMS only)

Model Compatibility 

Older models can be opened in this version of WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, and HAMMER.

Models saved in 2024 can still be opened in 2023.

Stability enhancements and fixes to reported issues

As with all new versions, this release includes fixes to various user-reported issues from the previous release, providing an overall more stable experience.
