Problem:

The following is displayed in model consistency check report:

W726-170:The tee at point XXX has only two legs defined which may not meet the conditions to apply the equations for SIF and other stress indices.

Solution:

A TEE component is made up of 3 pipe elements: 2 pipe elements make up the Run of aTee, and 3rd pipe element is the Branch of a Tee (at some angle to the Run of a Tee, typically 90 deg).

The warning message indicates that at the node point mentioned that a tee element has beem specified, but there is only 2 connected parts of the Tee (any combination of the 3 parts mentioned above).

Avoidance:

Option #1:

Correctly connect a third pipe element to the same node point as the other two Pipe elements

Option #2:

Select the node point specified in the message and change it to a single Run node, Modify> Convert Point to...> Run.

Option #3:

Select the node point specified in the message and delete the node point completely.
