.B - Dynamic "Response Spectrum" Analysis - AutoPIPE

Note: Suggest to perform "AutoPIPE MSRS Example Tutorial"

With AutoPIPE open, select Help> Contents> Contents Tab> Supplemental Documentation> select the document "Supplemental Documentation"  scroll down to "AutoPIPE MSRS Example1". Highly recommended to actually perform example using model mentioned in aforementioned document. This will give the user a good foundation on what it takes to perform a Response Spectrum.

Comments, Questions, and Answers

  1. Insert Dynamic Seismic / Response spectrum load case
  2. Under the Missing Mass Combination drop down listing in a model, only the SRSS and Absolute SUM method appear as choices. Where is Modal?
  3. Why do the acceleration values need to be multiplied by 25.4 ?
  4. Should ZPA be applied when performing a Dynamic analysis?
  5. Is there more information available on modal analysis?
  6. Multiple support response spectra (MSRS) and the uniform response spectrum analysis results are different
  7. Find missing mass mode in individual Modal results

  9. How does AutoPIPE compute the missing

mass response when the modal analysis option is selected

    ?
