Problem
Need a way to copy elements with the same basepoint into different drawings
Solution
Use tentative snap to define basepoint when copying elements, then paste as normal
- Select all elements to copy (use Element Selection tool)
- Tentative snap (click right & left mouse buttons at same time) in location that defines the basepoint. The origin of the drawing is a good location to use
- Activate copy tool (or use CTRL+c)
- Open other drawing, select Paste tool (CTRL+v)
- Left click in new drawing to accept the paste. The pasted element should have the same coordinates relative to the basepoint.
