How do I add a silcrow (section) symbol (§) in OpenRoads SignCAD?

Answer:

The Highway fonts in OpenRoads SignCAD do not support the silcrow (section) symbol (§). To create the silcrow (section) symbol, use a font that supports the symbol like Arial.

  1. Open Word and Insert the silcrow (section) symbol. Select and copy the silcrow (section) symbol.

  1. In OpenRoads SignCAD, press <Ctrl-F> to bring up the Font dialog. Press the More Fonts button.

  1. In the Font dialog, select a font like Arial that supports the silcrow (section) symbol and set the desired font style and size. Press OK.

  1. Pick the Text tool and press <Ctrl-V> to paste the silcrow (section) symbol.
