Communities Menu
The Communities menu offers convenient shortcuts to various community groups, forums, knowledge bases, events, resource quick links, and engagement options.
Search bar
Search for community content by entering one or more keyword(s). The search requires a minimum of 3 characters. The type-ahead feature proposes content based upon the keywords entered. Click enter to view all search results.
Community Profile and Preferences
Access your community profile by clicking on your login name in the top right corner of any community's page. Here you can edit your community profile, manage bookmarks, notifications, and subscriptions. Note, you must be logged in to access your profile.
'Ask a Question' button
This button will take you to the "Ask a Question" form where you can post your questions and get answers from Bentley experts and Community users.

Bentley Events
There are two ways to get to the Events page. The first is to click on the Events menu option at the top of the home page. The second is to scroll down to the event section where you will see the most recent and upcoming events. Here you can click on the event picture or click on the link that says, "View all Bentley Events". On the Events page you can search for all current, future and past events including webinars, user conferences, coffee corners and more!
Featured Content
This area highlights select content from the community. By clicking on a featured post, you'll be taken straight to it.
Content List and Activity Feed
Toggle between the Content List and Activity Feed. You can filter according to the content type, forum, and the most recent or popular content.
- Content List: Lists all content added to the community. Displays when updates were made to replies, comments, answers marked as correct, and which user made the updates.
- Activity Feed: Lists all activity in the community based on your posts and subscriptions.
Question filters
Filter by question to view solved, unsolved and questions without a reply. Note: The content options are displayed according to the permissions you are assigned in the forum.
Post Content widget
The 'Post Content' section gives you quick links to:
- Post a question to get quick answers from the community
- Post an announcement via a Blog to share knowledge with the community
- Post a video or document to share knowledge with the community
- Create an event that colleagues, experts, or other community users can be part of.
Please note: You need to sign in to see this feature. The content you can share is based on your access level.
Leaderboard
The Leaderboard displays the top contributors based on points accumulated. When logged in to Bentley Communities, your name will be highlighted on the leaderboard, showing your ranking.
Topics
Displays a list of trending topics within the community.
Additional Resources
- Product Documentation - The 'Product Documentation' link takes you to a page that has all the Help, Implementation Guides, and Readmes for all Bentley Products. This link is under the Additional Resources section of the home page.
- Bentley LEARN - Find training for all Bentley products by exploring the 'Bentley Learn' link located in the additional resources section of the home page.
- Bentley Ideas Portal - Visit the 'Bentley Ideas Portal' to share your ideas on improvements to Bentley software and to vote and comment on existing ideas.
- Bentley Support Portal – Open a case using the Bentley Support Portal link.
- Give Feedback – Provide feedback for Bentley Communities in general.
