• Settings per Connection

Settings per connection can now be accessed via the gear icon on the connection toolbar:

• European Union Datacenter

A new datacenter, located in the European Union, is now available when Registering a Project in Bentley Infrastructure Cloud

• Media Explorer

The Media Explorer lets the user index and search through potentially thousands of photos/videos which can be added to a project through any form, like Issues as well as uploading them to any folder.

Most photos and videos are not organized and maybe on employee devices, making them difficult if not impossible to find and retrieve in the event of a claim or other need. 

The Media is uploaded and stored in a central location. When the project needs access to that Media for any purpose, time is not spent trying to find media all over the place.

• Project Owner

Project Owner role can be assigned to one or more project participants. This will allow IMS Admins to delegate Project Administration tasks.

Participants must have ProjectWise Validate entitlement to be assigned as Project Owner

• Export to IFC

IFC Export has been added to the Context menu in iModel Manager.

This allows a user to export to a specific supported version of IFC and save it to a location on the Infrastructure Cloud project's documents areas.  This can be in the Documents area, as well as any valid Work Area Connection location.

This also allows for configuring IFC class mapping using .json files.  The structure of the mapping files is explained in detail here:

September 2023

• Enterprise level project creation permission

A new permission has been made available which gives a user the ability to create a project without needing full administrative privileges.  The Create New iTwin permission, when coupled with the Reprovision Project from a Template permission, allows administrators to assign project creation rights to a role without giving administrator privileges to that role. 

These roles are set in the Enterprise Role Management section in the Connect portal.

• External Project Tags

A new tag showing which projects belong to external organizations, has been added to each project's tile and header 

   

This will provide better understanding on which projects belong to your organization and which are from another.

• Custom Forms Creation

Custom Forms Creation is now available in ProjectWise powered  by iTwin. This will allow users to create their own forms for each project.

There are several Form Types and Templates to choose from.
