Thematic Display


Overview

This tool provides a dynamic display presentation applied to the entire display to indicate common surface presentations of contour maps and slope.

Finding the command

In the Civil Frontstage, open the left widget panel and select a mesh in the graphics (ie a corridor mesh)

 

With a selection in place a new icon will be displayed on the toolbar to select ‘Thematic Display’. This icon enables the thematic in the display and provides display focus to the selection.

 

 

While in Point selection mode a simple tooltip shows the height at the cursor and can be used to identify the contour value . Note contours can’t be snapped to for an absolute value.

 

 

Multiple mesh selections are supported but they need to be made before turning on the thematic. To add more turn off thematic and use the ‘add’ selection mode on Tool Settings toolbar.

Colour Scheme – defines the display style for the selection.

Availabe styles are,

The Range is computed for the current Selection only and the Selection is Emphasized in the display, but all visible surface meshes will have the thematic applied.

Modes

Height – contours are applied based on the supplied interval.
