Overview

This command provides a dynamic angle measurement between two elements from a defined anchor point to the projected intersection

Finding the command

In the Civil Frontstage main toolbar, select the Evaluate icon

Taper Angle

The tool has no control settings, it simply requires two inputs that are prompted in the bottom left of the frame

• identification of first element – this provides the normal that is projected onto from the second input

 

 

• identification of second element and point – this provides the control point to project onto the first element in a single click.

 

The resulting measurement is a result of taking instantaneous bearings from the two points on their elements, extending those as construction lines and presenting the resulting ‘construction triangle’ in the graphics

 

Selecting the measurement allows viewing the computed distances for the projected vectors.

 

Dimensions are temporary to the session and can be cleared from the view by Selecting from the Tool Palette
