Station Offset


Overview

This command provides a dynamic measurements perpendicularly from a baseline to a defined point of interest to aid in checks like lateral clearance.

Finding the command

From the Default Frontstage main toolbar, open the Civil Tools icon and select Station Offset icon

 

 In the Civil Frontstage main toolbar, select the Evaluate icon

Station Offset Tool Settings

 

The tool is controlled by two modes:

  1. At a point – for the selected element projects perpendicularly off from the current snap
  2. Between Two points – allows selection of two points using the current snap and projecting perpendicularly off them (seems broken ?)

Selection can be made by:

 

The graphics will auto highlight Alignment to aid in selection.  

Requires selection from the graphics of a ‘3D linear element’. The tool will warn that no alignment information is available for a 3D Linear Element and the resulting information provides ‘Distance Along’ element instead of ‘Station’

Offset Dimensions

Once the Station Offset is placed, the leaderline to the annotation bubble can be selected to review full information for the results.  

 

Dimensions are temporary to the session and can be cleared from the view by Selecting from the Tool Palette  or shared (not working)
