Overview

This command provides a dynamic cursor tracking and point information on linear elements and surfaces  

Finding the command

In the Civil Frontstage main toolbar, select the Evaluate icon

Point Analysis

The tool has no control settings, it simply tracks over the model providing dynamic information at the cursor that can be placed into the model as a static dimension.  Snap settings are indicated as the cursor tracks over the model and can be used to help guide the placement.

The reported information depends on what type of element is being tracked and provides

Meshes -  X, Y, Z, Slope and a direction vector graphic.

Linear elements – XYZ for the nearest snap point

  

Selecting the placed measurement allows viewing the reported point properties.

  

 Dimensions are temporary to the session and can be cleared from the view by Selecting from the Tool Palette
