Overview

This command provides a measurement describing the shortest distance between two meshes (or solids).

Finding the command

From the Default Frontstage main toolbar, open the Civil Tools icon and select Station Offset icon

 

In the Civil Frontstage main toolbar, select the Evaluate icon

 

Command Execution

Select the first element, followed by a data point in space.  Select the second element, followed by a data point in space.  A dimension line is drawn showing the closest distance between the two objects.

 

Annotations can be cleared in the toolbar at the top of the screen.
