This command produces a report on the quantities using elements located along an alignment. (Only visible elements will be taken into account)
Finding the command
Civil Reports can be found in a separate docking tab. These tabs can be relocated all over the user interface. In the quantity reports select “Along Alignment”, the plus sign appears for “New Report”. You can also manage the reports into folders by selecting the “Add New Folder” button.
‘Along Alignment’ Selection Tool Settings
Once the command is executed the tool settings will appear along with the following prompts:
- The first prompt is for the alignment selection. You can either identify the alignment by selecting it on the screen, or select from the dropdown list of alignments.
- Once the alignment is identified, it can be helpful fit the view to the alignment, this can be accomplished by selecting this button in the tool settings.
The “Left Offset” and “Right Offset” allow you to define the buffer width for the element selection.
- The report produced by this command allows for interval reporting as well as the overall summation along the alignment. The “Interval” in the tool settings defines this span distance.
- The next prompts are for the start and end station. These can either be selected on the screen or entered directly in the tool settings.
- The final prompt will be a data point in space to accept all entries and produce the report.
Report
Once the report generation is complete, select the arrow to show the report expanded view. This view will provide two button options, “Download the Report” which creates a .csv file for use with applications such as Excel, and “Open the Report in a New Window” which displays the report in HTML in a new browser window.
