The Range Data Text Object inserts a text value from any data table at a mid-point between two heights on the log.
The Range Data Box Object does the same but places the text inside a box (boundary) and if needed reduces the text size of the object to fit in the box.
The Range Text Bar Object is similar to the above but the boundary will adjust to fit the text in the box. Note that a boundary line is only drawn for the Top depth, making this object best suited for continuous data.
The instructions for setting up the objects above are the same and included below.
To insert a Range Data Text Object into a column, follow the steps below:
AddCallout – Check box to toggle on and off Callouts on the Point Data Text Object.
CalloutColor - Choose the color you want the Callout to be, this must be set (we recommend #FF000000 for black).
CalloutThickness – Thickness of the CalloutPattern (linetype). (Use 1 as a starting point).
CalloutPattern – This property sets the line pattern (Solid, dash etc..) Must be set (Set to Solid so line will show if you are unsure).
CalloutPatternOffset – used when needed to offset the line pattern (Set to 0 in most cases).
CalloutDirection – Determines which side or both the callout will be placed Choose one (Left, Right, Both).
CalloutBracketLength – See diagram below. Where you set the length of the bracket portion of the callout (Set to 1 is a good starting point).
CalloutArmLength – See diagram below. Where you set the length of the arm portion of the callout (Set to 1 is a good starting point).
CalloutShoulderLength - See diagram below. Where you set the length of the shoulder portion of the callout (Set to 1 is a good starting point).
DrawAsPointCallout – will only use the middle of the range and work like a point callout without the brackets.
Refresh the borehole preview to see the changes.
If the name of the table is known, then type the first letter of the table in the box it jumps to the list at the first instance of that letter.
If table name is unknown, then press the button on the right of the Group box and the Project Explorer opens as it appears in HBSI from where you can make the selection.
