1. Open the required project and right click a location which has coordinates defined.  Select 'Zoom from Map' from the context sensitive menu which appears.  The map will open focused on this location. 

2. Adjust the focus of the map to suit.  Use the middle mouse button to zoom in and out.  Hold down the right mouse button to click and drag the map.

3. Click 'Draw' from the 'Map Tools' ribbon:

4. Click on the map define the start of your section line.  Move the cursor to the end point and double click to finish the line.

5. Any locations which will appear on the section will turn red.  Increase the buffer to select additional locations if necessary:

6. Click 'Quick section' and the section diagram will generate:

7. Click 'Save as PDF' from the 'Section Tools' ribbon to commit the section diagram to an external file:
