If you have created or been provided an XML mapping file, you will need to upload the file into OpenGround to use it.
Mapping files can be imported into a configuration pack, or into an individual project.
Importing a Mapping File into a Configuration Pack
Within OpenGround Professional, go to System>Configuration Packs>Transfer Mapping with the desired configuration pack selected. Then select Upload – Import XML Mapping or Upload – Export XML Mapping as appropriate.
Select the appropriate File Format for which the mapping file is intended. Enter a Name for the mapping. If you enter a Name that is already used for that File Format, the existing mapping will be overwritten.
When you click Import, the upload process will check the validity of the mappings and report any errors that are encountered. If no errors are encountered, the file will successfully import.
When you go into a project for that configuration pack, you should now see the new mapping under the appropriate File Format under Data>Import Data.
Importing a Mapping File into a Project
The workflow to import a mapping file into a project is very similar to importing into a configuration pack. However, the mapping will only be available for that project (and not any other project).
To do so, with a project open, go to Configuration>Transfer Mapping and upload the mapping file.
This is often useful for testing a mapping file. You can upload it into the project to test, and when you are satisfied it is working properly, can then upload it to the configuration pack so it will be available to all projects.
Downloading a Mapping File
Mapping files can be downloaded under System>Configuration Packs>Transfer Mapping.
Downloading a mapping file is useful if you need to edit an existing mapping and then re-upload it.
Deleting a Mapping File
Mapping files can be deleted under System>Configuration Pack>Manage Components.
Select the appropriate Import Mapping Component Type (or Export Mapping). Select the mapping(s) you'd like to delete and click Delete.
