Capture Data in the Field


Before taking the mobile device to site:

1. Download 'OpenGround Data Collector' from the Google Play store.

2. Open the app and select the cloud and project required.

3. Open the project and download a data entry profile.

Using onsite:

1. Open the app and select the cloud and project required.

2. Click '+' to create a new location.  Enter the general location data.

3. The location list will update to show the location.  Tap the edit icon to access the focused interface for data associated with the location (typically geological descriptions, samples, field tests, etc.)

4. Identity the required interface from the list and click the '+' Create New Record button on the right hand side.  Enter the data.

5. Repeat for the different types of data when need to be captured for the current hole.  Once complete tap the backarrow (top left) to return to the location list.

6. Tap the sync icon to upload the data to the cloud.  Tap the log preview to confirm the results if required.

7. Repeat steps 2-6 for each location as necessary.
