To add a legend block to a project sheet merge an area that is approximately your expected size to fit a legend for your average project. 

In the example below the area merged for the material legend block is 87 mm x 163 mm.

A legend block supports one legend per merged area. Therefore, if multiple legends are necessary, an area must be merged for each legend items. In the image below there are three merged areas: material symbols, sampler symbols, and well symbols.

With the curser active in the merged area, select Legend Block under General items to place the Legend Block in the area. The Legend Block is now ready for configuration.

When generating a preview for a Legend Block on a Project Sheet in Template Studio you will see a legend built with data from the listed location.
