Saving a template can either make it available for OpenGound users within the system or store it in a local file. Follow the steps below:
1. Click the Save icon from the ribbon:

2. Select one of the three Save Options:

- Local File – Create a '.hbt' file. This allows a template to be passed to other external Template Studio users (see 'Loading a Template' for more information). This option is available to all users. Note: this can be used to incrementally develop a template 'offline' as it does not distribute to the main OpenGround system.
- Current Project - Saves the template so it is accessible to users of the current OpenGround project only. This option is only available to users with System Administrator or Project Manager status for the selected project.
- Configuration Pack - Save the template so it is accessible to users of all the OpenGround projects that use the current configuration pack (i.e., the configuration pack of the project selected in Template Studio). This option is only available to users with System Administrator access.
3. Name the template. The Report Name will be how the template is identified by users in OpenGround (for the 'Current Project' and 'Configuration Pack' saves):

The Local File option simply name the file.
4. Click Save:

5. Having saved the required changes use the button to Close the template:

After the confirmation messages the template will be saved according to the option selected above. You will then be returned to Template menu:

Note that template saved using the Local File option only will not appear on this list (although they can be loaded).
