There are many ways to dimension your models, and just as many Label options in the Dimension tools. You will find the Dimension tools in the Dimensioning ribbon group of the MicroStation Drawing workflow.

Three options are available for the Ordinate Dimensioning command that control how the label is placed relative to the point or line being measured - Ordinate Unstacked | Ordinate Stacked | Ordinate Free Location.  These are the three buttons located at the bottom of the dialog box:

   Choose one of these three options to suit your labeling needs.
