Problem

I am unable to attach MrSID Generation 4 images in MicroStation.

Solution

Bug #25157 has been filed for the problem and the fix is planned for a future release of MicroStation.

(NOTE: MrSID Generation 4 images can be attached in MicroStation Connect Release)

To determine the version of your MrSID image you can go to the attached website and follow the steps.

1. Launch the program GeoViewer (a free download from www.lizardtech.com).

2. Go to File > Add Layer > Local Layer to bring in the image.

3. Once the image appears, go to Layer > View Layer Metadata.

4. Look under "Image properties". In the value for Format, a generation 4 MrSID will show MRSID/MG4RASTER.

The attached website tells how to convert MrSID Generation 4 images.

1. Launch the program GeoViewer (a free download from www.lizardtech.com).

2. Go to File > Add Layer > Local Layer to bring in the image.

3. Tools > Export > Export Map
