  6. Select the topworks/valve operators in question.
  7. When the Update Component dialog pops up select the Component Properties tab.
  8. The SORT_CODE property will be displayed and can be changed here.
  9. Click OK after changing the value, save your model.

You now have updated the SORT_CODE for topworks/valve operators

To change the SORT_CODE for all future Topworks/Valve Operators:

  1. Check the CLASS.INI file both in the install directory and the project directory and confirm that the default SORT_CODE is set to 110 for topworks The [BASE_TOPWORKS_CLASS] in the class.ini file should have the SORT_CODE value set to 110
  2. Check the TOPWORKS.INI file in the Project in question It can be found here: ..\%PROJECT_ROOT%\%PROJECT_NAME%\Config\
  3. Check each topworks/valve operator in this file and see if any have a SORT_CODE defined and change it to the proper number if it is incorrect.
  4. Once that is done delete the TOPWORKS.INI file that is held here: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Bentley\Plant XM\Config\%PROJECT_NAME%\
  5. Once you save these changes and restart AutoPLANT you should notice all topworks coming in with the correct SORT_CODE value.
