Overview

When a Saddle is drawn in AutoPLANT Piping, a ring is placed around the main pipeline.

How do I prevent a ring from being drawn around the pipe when a saddle is placed?

The ring that is shown around pipe after saddle placement is actually done on purpose. This is represents a saddle cover. This is not a requirement for all saddles. And for that reason, there is a way to prevent the application from drawing them.

  1. Go to the OLET table of your spec where the saddles reside.
  2. Add a field called SADD_STAT as a text field.
  3. Set the value to 2 for every saddle.

The ring will not be drawn for any saddles that have a SADD_STAT value of 2. If there is no SADD_STAT field or if the SADD_STAT field is set to 0 a "saddle cover" ring will be drawn.
