How to map PCF support information to AutoPIPE's support Tag field?
Using PCF translator v1.00.00.88 or higher (installed with AutoPIPE v12.05.00.17 or higher), one can easily map the Support Name information into AutoPIPE's Support Tag-No. field with the following instructions..
1. Start by opening the PCFin.map file from the Profiles folder. This can be easily accomplished by starting the PCF translator, and selecting the Reference command as mentioned here.
3. Confirm that the correct PCFin.map file is being used.
a. After opening the PCFin.map file in any text editor, see PCF translator version on line #4 (ex. // version 1.0.0.75)
b. Check PCF version history to confirm the correct version per AutoPIPE software installed.
Example,
PCFin.map was found to be version 1.0.0.75. open version history hyperlink, find that PCF version would have been covered by installation of AutoPIPE CONNECT 12.01.00.10 & 12.01.00.09. Compare what version of the PCFin.map is currently located here against current version of AutoPIPE installed PCF version.
d. If PCF version installed is higher than the current version found in the PCFin.map file, user should reset the profiles folder as mentioned here.. Otherwise, continue below.
4. Scroll down to the Settings section and find the Support_Tag attribute:
5. Update column #2 with the PCF Support tag information, ex. NAME. (be mindful to maintain column alignments).
6. Save the file
7. Restart the PCF translator and try to import the PCF file into AutoPIPE.
8. Done!!!
The imported model should now have Support NAME attributes imported into the Support Tag No, field. as shown below.
Note: in this example, there were blank spaces because there was no data in the PCF file for those supports.
