Subscription Entitlement Service is Bentley's new licensing model, providing enhanced security and optimized value for your Bentley Subscriptions. It is integrated with Bentley's Identity Management System (IMS) and the Bentley CONNECT technology platform to allow near real-time reporting of usage, improved alert messaging to users and increased administrative capabilities to license administrators in your organization. It will not only give you more options to monitor and manage usage but also provide new, advanced licensing features that will enhance digital workflows.
With Subscription Entitlement Service, all users must be registered with Bentley's Identity Management System (IMS) and sign in to the CONNECTION Client to access Bentley applications. Product activation will now occur through user sign-in to the CONNECTION Client with a valid IMS ID associated with their account. User sign-in will replace traditional activation keys, offering enhanced security as administrators will be able to control which users have access to Bentley software. License entitlements are granted and maintained through Subscription Entitlement Service's Entitlement Management Service. By signing into the CONNECTION Client users can also find their organization's projects, download software updates, receive relevant notifications, and track their usage.
Subscription Entitlement Service features the new license alerts notifications that can be set by an organization's license administrators to let the users know when they reach a set usage threshold. These notifications will alert the users that if they continue to use the product, a term license may be issued. The user in such a situation has the choice to quit the application before a license is used or acknowledge that a term license may be generated and proceed with starting the application, based on what settings the administrator chooses.
The following outline identifies all major errors fixed in Release of AutoPIPE v12.3.
ASCE 7-02 (Note 2, Figure 6-4) and ASCE 7-10 (Note 2, Figure 26.8-1) requires limiting the height over distance upwind of crest (H/Lh) value to 0.5 for evaluating K1 multiplier. ASCE 7 also requires substituting 2H for Lh for evaluating K2 and K3 multipliers when H/Lh exceeds 0.5. AutoPIPE wind analysis does not incorporate the two conditions above. This results in incorrect pressure value calculations for wind load cases.
Thermal expansion values for spec material A790-S31803 are incorrectly recorded in program libraries at 300F, 800F, 950F and 1300F.
AL-6XN-B688 material is using incorrect but conservative allowable values @300F and @400F when wall thickness is less than 3/16 in. Program is using allowable values of 23.92ksi and 22.88ksi instead of 24ksi and 23.68ksi @300F and @400F respectively. This issue exists in all ASME B31.3 material libraries from B313-04.LIB to B313-16.LIB.
ASCE-7-02 (Table 6-3, Note 2) exposure category B requires limiting z value to 30ft for evaluating velocity pressure coefficient Kz, but this condition is removed from ASCE-7-10 (Table 29.3-1, Note 1). However, AutoPIPE applies this limit for ASCE-7-10 incorrectly. Which results in conservative pressure results for z value up to 30ft.
Exporting very large models to SQLite DB throws an out of memory exception.
