Why and how to avoid it?

Solution:

Reason #1:

Open the DAT file in a HexEditor. IF the file has no data in the first 20 lines, the file may have been incorrectly saved. Try opening the BAK file and save to a local folder. If unsuccessful, the file must be recreated.

Reason #2:

Open the *.CII file with any text editing application ( Ultra edit, NotePad++, etc..), confirm file is not hexadecimal or other unreadable format.

A good *.CII file has readable text as imaged above (ex. Version, project, client, etc..)

AutoPIPE can only read a valid *.CII file.

If not a valid *.CII file

1. Go back to source of *.CII file and ask that another file be recreate for review.

2. If file was send over email, confirm that sending or receiving company firewall did not affect the file.
