M. Connection issues: could not connect Try again... message appears when using CONNECTION Client

Problem:

When starting AutoPIPE the user would need to log into CONNECTION Client where the following appears: 

CONNECTION Issues: 

Could Not Connect

Try again.

Why and how to avoid the problem?

Solution:

 There could be a number of issues that cause this to occur. One or more of the following solutions may be needed:

Below are some AutoPIPE related or duplicate information from the above KB article.

Solution #2:

Install the latest version of the application using procedure here.

Important: For Windows 7 users, please refer to Solution #3.

Solution #3:

There is a problem with your internet connection to the Bentley Server. 

Check your:

a. Internet connection

b. Server connection

c. Check the Status of the Bentley's Server here

Solution #4:

Work with your company appointed Bentley On-site Administrator to check Proxy settings configured in BLT (Bentley Licensing Tool) may be interfering.

Open BLT> Tools> Options> confirm Proxy settings are correct. Typical the values would be blank.

Solution #5:

Connection Client 11.x is not compatible with Windows 7. If a user is facing connection issues , check if they have recently updated Connection Client to version 11.xx.

Solution, uninstall all the versions of Connection Client from the machine and revert back to older version 10.00.19.31. (note, if the download link is not working, contact Bentley Licensing team request a new link).
