Problem:

When import a Autodesk Plant3D PCF file into the Autopipe, the bends are not converted and only shows a straight line. why?

Solution:

After opening the PCF file in any word editor, noted that the contents (coordinates) and connectivity in components is not correctly exported.

See example below where the Bend End-Point and Center-Point have same coordinate

A bend cannot be correctly drawn without 3 distinctive coordinates for the Bend's Far point, Near point, and Center point.

a. Check original model in native program that produced the PCF file to be sure bends are modeled correctly

b. Contact technical support of the application creating the PCF file to be sure that bends are being correctly written to the file.
