Overview

During PSDS catalog conversion to OpenPlant Modeler, Additional Schedule does not get converted correctly

Problem Description

During PSDS conversion, few catalog property like schedule (SCH_RAT3 in PSDS) did not get converted successfully and resulting to error. Requirement was to get the PSDS property ‘SCH_RAT3’ to map in OpenPlant Modeler as SCHEDULE_2 during the conversion.

Steps to Resolve

  1. Launch OpenPlant Project Administrator.
  2. Select Project say OPModeler_Metric > Tools > Class Editor.

  3. Open OpenPlant_CustomAttributes.08.11.ecschema.xml by navigating the project folder C:\%project root%\ WorkSpace\OPModeler\schemas.

  4. Open OpenPlant_3D.01.07.ecschema.xml by navigating the project folder.

  5. Supplement this with two schema’s OpenPlant_Supplemental_Mapping_PSDS.01.07.ecschema.xml & OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Modeling.01.07.ecschema.xml schema. See image below.

  6. Navigate to Piping Component Class and Create a new property SCHEDULE2 using Add button below.
  7. Assign name to property SCHEDULE2.

  8. Add Custom Attribute for SCHEDULE2 similar to SCHEDULE property.

  9. Add two classes ( OpenPlant_Physical_Catalogue_Property_Map & PSDS Catalogue Property Map) from the dialog box shown below and assign proper location for it. Add location as shown in below image.

  10. OpenPlant_Physical_Catalogue_Property_Map contains the property name SCHEDULE_2, which creates the column in mdb file after conversion.
  11. PSDS Catalogue Property Map should be SCH_RAT3. column from PSDS catalog value, which you want to fetch the data.
  12. Save settings and close schema.
  13. You will be able to get the new property SCHEDULE_2 for use. Now run the conversion and data should come through. See image after conversion.
