To modify symbology of Fitting (Elbows, Tee, Etc) in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.

Background

Isometric symbols used on Isometric Drawings are stored in cell libraries. Based on company requirements an Administrator will need to modify existing symbols or to create completely new symbols. Isometric symbols are stored in cell libraries. The symbols are defined independently for each Isometric Style. Below steps will determine the procedure of setting line weight and other modification for fittings present in cell library.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open Seed file..

  2. Open ‘cell creation tool’ from IsoExtractor menu. See image.

  3. Select Elbows.dgn file to modify.

Note: For Tee/Support you may select Branch/Support dgn file.

  4. Select required type and change the weight through element information. See image below.

  5. Save Setting (CTRL+F).

Note: You can edit corresponding template file available in cell template folder. You may navigate it to C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantIsometricsManager V8i\WorkSpace\OPIM\CellTemplates to change the line weight for each item type.

  6. Place a fence from Task menu on whole modified label and click on ‘Create Cell’ option.

  7. It is recommended to choose the cell library to custom.cel and fill cell name and description exactly the same present for earlier one. See image below.

    Notes:
User may create its own custom file with logical name and customize the label accordingly. To enable a new cell file type the name at first place in style.cfg in order to search the library at first, sample as mentioned in below image.
