Description
User wanted to know whether it is possible to restrict the software to auto-fill the units in properties which have the units assigned to them. This article will explain the procedure to restrict the auto-filling of units in EC properties. NOMINAL_PRESSURE property on PIPING_NETWORK_SYSTEM will be used as an example for this article.
Steps to Accomplish
- Open Class editor and load OpenPlant.01.04 schema from Workspace\OPPowerPID\Schemas folder.
- Right click on OpenPlant schema and select Supplement Schema.. option and select OpenPlant_Supplemental_Units_Metric schema.
- Go to PIPING_NETWORK_SYSTEM class and switch to properties tab and locate the NOMINAL_PRESSURE property.
- Right click on the property and select Remove Units option.

- Once the units are removed from this property you won't see the Units tab in the lower section for that particular property.
- Save the changes in schema.
Verify the Result
- Launch OpenPlant PID and open a drawing.
- Select the Major Pipeline tool from Piping Task.
- In the placement dialog, key-in any value in Nominal Pressure property, you will see that Units are not populated.
